| Digital printing is changing the field of black and white photography. Prints with Epson's HDR carbon pigments offer spectacular tonal range and the best longevity of any digital printing option. They must be seen to be truly appreciated. If you are a silver gelatin printer you will be delighted at the possibilities this technology makes possible. Images are rendered from your digital files utilizing the state of the art Epson 9800 or 9900 wide format printers, using either gloss or matte black to your specification. They rival silver gelatin prints in tonal range and longevity. Sheet size includes borders of your choice. You can FTP your files to us directly, or send them on CD or Zip disks. Jobs are completed on a first-come-first served basis, our turnaround time is usually 3 days from the time we receive them. Often we can complete an order in less, depending on workload. Prints are produced with the ink and paper of your choice. Prints up to 11x17 are shipped flat, larger sizes are rolled and sent in appropriately sized tubes or boxes. Shipping charges are added to the cost of the order. You will NOT have to pay any sales tax, as Oregon does not require it. |

| Our Inks The Epson HDR inkset produces BW prints that are neutral in color, but can be toned towards any hue, including sepia or cool tones. This usually requires some testing, so please allow time for that, we are willing to work with you on getting it just the way you want. |

| Monitor Calibration When preparing your files for us to print, we recommend working in "Gray Gamma 2.2" grayspace. Also make sure that you are editing the image in Grayscale mode, not RGB or CMYK. This is important so that your onscreen preview of the image will correspond to the output of our printers. Whatever grayspace you choose, make sure you embed the working profile in the image files when you send them. If you want consistent, predictable results we highly recommend you hardware calibrate your monitor. The best product we've found for this is X-rite's EyeOne system. Effective calibration can also be accomplished using Monaco's device or Colorvision's packages. If you are unable to work from a calibrated monitor you should have us proof all images you order final prints. |
