|A 20 year veteran of the ad agency Wieden and Kennedy in Portland, Oregon, Jim Riswold has participated in the creation of many prominent ad campaigns for clients such as Nike. His personal work involves photographing figurines in provocative settings. "Goring's Lunch" places some of history's most infamous dictators in amongst children's toys in a satiric look at the mindset of a despot. It has shown with great success at the Augen Gallery in Portland and is set to travel to galleries elsewhere in the US. "Napoleon" exhibited in November 2005 and was likewise both well received and critically acclaimed.
The print sizes range up to 40" x 90" and were all printed on Photo Rag with an Epson 9600 and 9800 using Ultrachrome inks. The Goring's Lunch exhibit comprises more than 30 prints, Napoleon is 15 images.
